Exotic hardwood floors are made up of solid exotic wood that is not grown in North America. If you've got your heart set on installing hardwood over a floor heating system, be sure to choose floorboards that consist of American hardwoods (cherry, oak, ash, for example), are 2 ¼ inches wide or less, quartersawn, and have a moisture content of 6% or less.
Authentic European Oak Flooring is what we are all about. Featuring a 6mm solid oak wear layer with multi ply sub-layers. However, it is possible to buy floating engineered flooring vinyl flooring which rides independently of the subfloor. Hardwood floors are not the best option if you have pets, although some options are still more durable than others if you want solid wood.
